Only about 40 hectares of Chenin Blanc, also called Pineau de la Loire, are cultivated to make CHINON white wines. The best terroirs to produce this rare and outstanding white wine are chalky-clayey or silicious-clayey soils.
This vintage 3 Coteaux (= 3 hillsides) results from the blend of small parcels of Chenin Blanc which are : Coteau des Chénaies of Domaine de la Perrière, Coteau des Chenanceaux of Domaine du Roncée and Coteau de l'Olive, parcel planted in 2008 and harvested for the first time in 2010.
