The castle's vineyard is located between the Clos du Pin and the Clos des Aubuis on the original terroir of Chinon appellation, one of the hillsides which draws the right bank of the Vienne, around the city of CHINON. With very little clay and depth, the sandy soil expresses only its simple and fine characters. On the other hand, the substratum of " superior Turonien " or Touraine yellow tuffeau is an unlimited resource. The terroir rapidly warms just after the winter and produces moderate harvest which reachs regularly the perfect maturity at the beginning of October.

A part of Clos des Aubuis, situated on a southern terrace, was planted with the grape varietal Chenin at the beginning of the 20th century. With this small quantity of vines and after a very careful selection we produce a few bottles of this outstanding white wine to lay down.
