Chinon Rouge is the flagship cuvée of Château de La Grille. To maintain its level of excellence, vintages from more challenging years are not bottled, retaining only the best to preserve its title as the “Exception of Chinon”.
Dark garnet robe. Aromas of leather, stewed plum, and undergrowth great length.
Serve with matured meats such as marinated rib steak, game, or wild boar stew. From the garden, it pairs well with spicy piperade, charred eggplant, or pan-fried wild mushrooms.
Best enjoyed within 5 to 7 years from vintage, and serve after a few hours of decanting.
